Safe Vote Hawai’i was formed in 1994 in response to the rush to adopt electronic voting machines in our state.  Composed of local activists, official election observers, and technology professionals, Safe Vote Hawai’i successfully lobbied to require Voter Verified Paper Trails with the passage of Act 200 in 1995.
